The Road Less Traveled

I am dedicating this space to travel suggestions that are just a bit off the beaten track. Many of you are now "well traveled" so, with the help of the staff, as well as customers like yourself, I will be keeping my eyes and ears open for new and different travel destinations and experiences to share.

One of our client favorites is a little SPA resort built in the hills of Tuscany. This lovely stone building has gorgeous sleeping rooms, five-star dining, and a top rated SPA. Its most unique feature is an underground thermal lake! Imagine walking down a corridor with rock walls in your robe. Down and down, electric lights show the way. At first it is a little cooler, then it becomes warmer. Suddenly you see steam rising from beautiful blue water, and plush lounge chairs scattered on the edge. This is the Tuscan version of a steam room! This great resort is also close to quaint town and a short ride to Florence. They also arrange cooking classes at a local farmhouse for groups.

A few other suggestions for Fall. How about escaping to a cottage in Napa Valley? Enjoy vineyard tours, train rides, great food and Spas. Niagara Falls is also fabulous destination that few Texans think about. Relax in a "falls view" room, shop, explore and take a boat trip amidst the fall foliage. How would you like a caribou on your patio sharing your morning coffee? The Canadian Rockies is the place to be. Cool weather, unbelievable views of lakes and mountains, and the friendliest wildlife around.
